The upcoming Lexus model will spice up the competition for powerful engines with hybrid capabilities

Lexus plans to bring its LC 500 and it will make a public debut at the Detroit Motor Show 2016, although the official sources has not confirmed the possible arrival of the Lexus LC 500. However, the other source highlighted the key features of LC 500 ahead of the Detroit Motor Show 2016.

V6 Engine with Hybrid Capabilities

According to the details, the LC 500 will come up with the V6 engine; it will also offer some hybrid capabilities. The V6 engine will be paired with the electronic motor. The 3.5-litre V6 engine will have a strong power output of 470bhp. However, the more powerful version will be offered with 600bhp on top of the strong engine.

The powerful version will have 5.0-litre V8 engine and will be released later. There is no detail available about the possible arrival time of the powerful version. The LC 500 will be offered with the 10-speed transmission. This is the first time any vehicle with similar specification will offer 10-speed transmission.

Scaleable Platform Architecture

Lexus will develop two trim levels of its LC 500, LC 500 and LC 500h. It has been found the LC 500 was first approved for production in 2013, but final version of it hadn’t come since then.

The prototype was seen testing few days back. Lexus will use Toyota’s new scaleable platform for its all new the LC 500, the industry observers say, it will raise competitions for premium German rivals.

The industry observers argue that it is the perfect time for Lexus to welcome 2016 with its new model.

Lexus has kept its customers waiting for quite a long time and it has been almost four years since the rumors started about the Lexus LC 500 concept. No details about the price are available so far.
